Lead Python Developer/Architect

Overview

 

We are looking for a motivated Lead Python Developer/Architect to come and join our team of professionals. If you are passionate about technology, constantly seeking to learn and improve your skillset, then you are the type of person we are looking for!

 About the Customer and Project:

The Customer is developing a semi-smart watch (a smartwatch with limited features) for children. The watch will not provide any games or toy-like features, it is designed to be a safety and communication tool. On the parent side, there will be a mobile app available for both iOS and Android that communicates with the watch.

Project Team: 3 Python Developers (1 TL, 1 SD, 1 D), 1 DevOps, 1 PM, 1 Manual QA, 0.5 Automation QA.

Project Tech Stack:

  • Python 3.8
  • Chalice (AWS lambda)
  • SQLAlchemy
  • Pytest
  • Aurora serverless (PostgreSQL)
  • AWS Appsync
  • AWS IoT

 Requirements:

  • 4-5+ years of experience in Python;
  • Experience in developing Backend serverless solutions using Python; Type annotations, SQL, PostgreSQL(RDS), AWS Aurora;
  • Knowledge of DevOps / CI / CD process (e.g. AWS services);
  • Experience with Docker, docker-compose optional
  • Knowledge of XML and / or Semantic Web Technologies (RDF, OWL);
  • Experience in building Architecture from scratch;
  • Experience in leading development teams;
  • Experience with Scrum methodology;
  • Good communication skills in English – verbal and written;
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of MQTT or other lightweight network protocols will be a plus

 Responsibilities:

  • Python Leadership, Technical Coordination;
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
  • Build efficient back-end features in Python;
  • Manage testing and bug fixes;
  • Prepare technical documentation;
  • Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements;
  • Be in touch with customers directly.

English: Upper-Intermediate
