You will work on many key components to help support our mission to move towards a more SaaS like environment. Our team manages many exciting (and critical) components including the management of configurations and settings, management of installations and updates, backup and restore, file service and more. You will join an Engineering team that includes a scrum master, software engineers and a QA engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
As we look to modernize our application, you will have many opportunities to participate in all areas of software development, including design, development and testing. The work that you will be involved in will help to pave the way for the years ahead.
This is a hybrid role based in our Prague office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing high quality code, including participating in testing and maintenance of that code.
- Applying pragmatic engineering approaches to deliver value to customers.
- Collaborating with Product Management, Design, Architecture, and other Engineers to help estimate work, design scalable and performant solutions that will delight our customers, and produce high quality production-grade software.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices through code reviews and continuous improvement.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of search systems, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
You have
- 5+ years of experience developing in Java and Spring Framework. – For Senior
- 3+ years of experience developing in Java and Spring Framework. – For Middle
- Strong experience with relational databases (preferable PostgreSQL).
- Experience in microservices architecture and hands-on with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong familiarity with agile development methodologies and a proven command of code versioning tools, including Git.
- Familiarity with search technologies, particularly ElasticSearch is a bonus.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
- This is a full time employment position. As of this time, we are not considering freelance or B2B arrangements for this role.
- You must have work authorization to work in Prague, Czech Republic.

Measures of success
- Within your first month, you will get familiar with the environment we use, the way we implement software as an organization, simple business use cases and submit code to production.
- Within your third month, you will implement new user stories with quality and care, and understand what value they will bring to our customers. You will start providing input on how best to move the product forward and improve the product.
- Within your sixth month, you will be a software engineer, regularly delivering quality code, participating in testing, and ensuring good, scalable, pragmatic engineering practices are followed by the team.
