🦾 About the Robot
Our robot has best-in-class affordability, payload, repeatability, and acceleration, along with a camera built into the robot’s wrist that makes programming much easier for the user.
At Standard Bots, we design robots that create a safer, more productive manufacturing environment for the people who use them. By automating many of the most common tasks in manufacturing, our RO1 robot saves time and effort for operators that they can use to focus on higher-impact tasks and processes.
Today, the robot is skilled in machine tending, pick-and-place, case packing, sanding, polishing, palletizing, inspection, debarring, welding and painting.
In the future, the robot will help in commercial dishwashing & fast food, massages, everyday tasks in the home and aiding the elderly.
We believe six-axis robotic arms can pull a more enjoyable future closer to the present day. From making production more efficient in businesses to aiding the elderly in their homes, robots have the potential to improve the lives of people around the world.

You don’t need a previous background in robotics.
❗️What you need to succeed
– 4+ years of a strong technical background in Go and/or Node.js and React
– Good experience in Frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, Design
– Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
– Growth + Optimism: You are excited by new domains and challenges
– Clarity of Communication: You excel in written and verbal communication
– Impact Driven: You relentlessly seek user impact and value execution over technical idealism
– Excelling in Ambitious Environments: You excel in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with a diverse group of individuals and backgrounds
– Fluent English

– Identify, scope, and drive high-impact technical and user-facing projects
– Advise leadership on technical decisions and strategy
– Mentor and advise other engineers as well as peers on technical and personal advancement
– Drive technical decision making and implementation through hands-on and technically deep work

📍 Hiring stages
– Prescreening (20 min) – discussion of the vacancy’s details
– Tech Screen call (1 hour) – live coding, focus on implementation, algorithmic aspects, and communication
– Home task (~4 hours, we compensate $200)
– Final interview (3 h) – System Design + Abstractions Question, Resume Review + Background & Behavioural Questions)
