Overview

You will be working on what we call ‘Exalate cloud’ which is an infrastructure optimized for hosting the Exalate nodes. This infrastructure is implemented on top of Google Cloud, and is using a large set of cloud technologies to provide its functionality. Exalate is the leading cross-company integration solution for work management systems like Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk & more. Best-rated and most popular Jira Synchronization app on the Atlassian Marketplace. Exalate as a product is growing significantly (x3 year on year) and every day new opportunities for professional growth are opening up.

Responsibilities

– Ensure that the environment is reliable, available, secure and performant;

– Combine development and operational activities;

– Take care of the day to day operations, adapting the cluster to the need of an ever-increasing Exalate cloud;

– Develop automations to simplify these operations by working on an Exalate cloud product backlog and delivering feature improvements, bug fixes and the like.

 

Requirements

– Good knowledge of Python;

– Experience with Linux, Docker, Nginx, Tomcat or Django applications;

– Knowledge of relational databases (such as Postgres or similar);

– Good understanding of security protocols – such as the ability to explain private public key encryption techniques to people who have less technical background.

– Ability to tweak React based applications, or at least be open to get to know the technology
(the Exalate cloud console is a React application, which is used internally)

 

Will be a plus

– Understanding TCP networks and what makes the internet work;

– Experience with open source technologies such as K8S, Kafka, Terraform;
We are planning to use Kafka to re-architect the infrastructure.

– Desire to work in a DevOps context using advanced CI/CD technologies

– Curiosity about serverless and microservices architectures, and how they can be applied in a production environment;
