About Mantis Health:
Mantis Health is a medical technology start-up company that has commercialized a groundbreaking augmented reality visualization technology that can solve this global need, and we have just created an opening for a Director of Software Development.
Mantis Health is executing an ambitious 5-year vision to commercialize a platform of hardware and software products surrounding our core technology that will create new ways for surgeons to perform advanced magnified surgery and at a cost-effective price to hospitals and surgery centers. Because of this vision, our small, focused team of engineers has an opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary platform of projects involving the most cutting-edge technologies across various industries: micro- displays, 3D cameras, optics, video transmission and manipulation, vision-system electronics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, and others. The work we do is challenging, but also, exceptionally rewarding.

Our team consists of seasoned industry professionals with combined enthusiasm and experience, who are guided by a wise and connected board of directors with world-leading clinical advisory physicians on staff.
You’ll be working closely with our SVP Technology Development and CEO to craft and improve our software platform.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with C++/Python
- experience with video streaming and image processing
- be comfortable programming Android app with a view to GUI layout (Android Studio)
- understand the interface between hardware, firmware and software
- passion about technologies and desire to be a part of a product that improves the lives of people
