We are an active client with clients all over the US.
We are planning to add conversational AI to our interactive digital solutions. The AI will be a virtual waiter answering our guests’ questions. In example questions about the food, kitchen policy, prices and general questions about the restaurant.

Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile AI Engineer to lead the development of conversational AI solutions for our interactive menu systems. This role involves designing and implementing intelligent, customer-focused applications that integrate with advanced infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance both online and offline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize conversational AI-driven solutions that enhance customer experiences in the hospitality industry.
- Ensure seamless integration with iOS infrastructure and compatibility with Cloud-based environments.
- Build AI tools with offline capabilities, including:
- Developing systems that run on limited hardware (e.g., iPads) using lightweight AI models optimized for minimal CPU and storage resources.
- Creating interactive avatars capable of delivering real-time conversational responses offline.
- Implement a two-step development approach:
- Step 1: Utilize large AI models to validate system performance and ensure response quality.
- Step 2: Transition to lightweight, optimized models for deployment on-device.
- Work across the full development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Implement and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for real-time interaction and personalization.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Experience working with Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, or related technologies within the last 4 years.
- Proficiency in software engineering with AI exposure, such as:
- Developing applications that incorporate AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Backend development for AI-powered tools or systems.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including:
- Text analysis, sentiment analysis, or chatbot development.
- Pre-trained language models like GPT, BERT, or similar.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure for AI, including:
- Setting up environments for AI workloads on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Optimizing compute resources (e.g., CPU, GPU) for machine learning training and inference.
- Experience with on-device processing and optimizing systems for minimal resource consumption.
- Basic understanding of NLP libraries and toolkits.
- Fluency in English and one additional language (Russian, Ukrainian, or Hebrew).❗️
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience deploying lightweight AI models on constrained hardware like iPads.
- Knowledge of iOS programming (Swift/Objective-C) for integrating AI solutions.
- Experience with interactive avatars or animated conversational interfaces.
- Familiarity with multi-phase AI development processes, transitioning from large-scale models to compact, optimized deployments.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Salary – up to $9000
- Join a collaborative R&D team, working alongside Data Scientists and Engineers across global time zones.
- Flexible schedule: work during European hours with occasional evening availability for US-based meetings.
- Fully flexible hours—log 40 weekly hours at your convenience (evenings, nights, or weekends).
- Minimal meetings: no daily standups, just weekly updates.
