Responsibility
- Technical leadership and mentorship of agile delivery teams
- Champion software development best practices, e.g DRY, POLA, TDD etc andensure quality of code
- Plan and estimate technical tasks
- Guide teams through technical issues and challenges
- Overall design, implementation and deployment of large-scale mission-criticalSaaS architectures comprising of (but not limited to):
- Re-usable and configurable design patterns and microservices
- Complex relational and non-relation database schemas
- Complex Third-party API integrations
- Responsive HTML5 web applications
- Secure RESTful or SOAP APIs
- Support QA with complex automated testing
Knowledge/Skills
- Experience in system integration, server side and client side
- Good understanding of data / messaging formats, such as XML, JSON, CSV
- Good understanding of standard API communication protocols, such as XML-SOAP, REST
- Good understanding of encryption methods, such as PGP, TLS, XML-DSig etc.
- Good understanding of different authentication methods, such as OAuth, JWT,maTLS etc.
- Experience in front-end web development e.g. responsive design, media rules andbreakpoints, CSS, SCSS, Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- Good understanding of the HTML5 DOM
- Understanding of the WebSocket protocol
- Good understanding of JavaScript / JQuery. Knowledge of Node.js is welcomed.
- Experience in Database development, relational and document based, performance optimisation
- Scripting experience with Python
- Good understanding of the Linux Shell, SSH, SCP
Personal Profile
- Experience leading team of developers
- Computer science degree or similar
- Basic business process analysis and business process design skills
- Experience in using MS Excel, Word, Visio
- Conscientious working style with emphasis on quality
- Experience in risk management and/or in the financial services industrypreferred but not essential
- Advanced English
