A Canadian product company, mdf commerce inc, is a global leader in the development of a broad set of SaaS solutions that optimize and accelerate commercial interactions between buyers and sellers. Right now we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a project from the German discount supermarkets chain Aldi which owns stores in 20 countries around the world. Do not miss this opportunity!

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the analysis of clients’ business needs with the business users and the business departments;
  • Guide the client in the choice of the functionalities while considering the costs, the delays and the advantages with regards to the project development;
  • Help the clients to clarify the operational needs regarding the functionalities to be developed or modified.
  • Help the technical lead and the project manager identify the different resources’ necessary to the project (financial, technical and manpower);
  • Write the functional documentation (backlog: epics/features/user stories, data models, process flows);
  • Participate in defining solutions;
  • Follow-up on the business needs during the development phases;
  • Render the clients’ needs in functional specifications for the development team;
  • Develop, document and give support for the functional, integration and acceptance test strategies;
  • Ensure products and services meet established quality procedures, norms and standard;
  • Help to improve the business analyses’ practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in the role of Business Analyst;
  • Be avant-garde, open-minded and willing to take on new challenges on large-scale projects;
  • Ability to translate business needs and concepts into technological solutions;
  • Good understanding of business processes;
  • Experience working in an agile environment and writing user stories/acceptance criteria;
  • Experience in a B2C e-commerce environment, B2B knowledge being an added bonus;
  • Experience using JIRA/DevOps as a backlog management tool;
  • Strong experience with delivering web projects;
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Will be a plus:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology/software development or any combination of training and equivalent experience;
  • Technical background as a QA or Software Engineer.
