Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Operations & Project Manager located in Rome. The role ensures that GenieAI’s business, product, and client-facing initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively. The Business Operations & Project Manager will partner closely with leadership, product, engineering, and client teams to manage strategic projects, streamline operations, and drive organizational alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management across client delivery, product launches, and internal initiatives.
- Build and maintain project plans, defining scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Drive accountability across product, engineering, and operations teams to keep initiatives on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project updates, ensuring leadership and stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and risks.
- Facilitate effective communication across teams, proactively surfacing blockers and driving solutions.
- Support client onboarding and implementation projects, ensuring smooth coordination between client teams and GenieAI.
- Run sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives in coordination with product and engineering.
- Standardize reporting, documentation, and tracking for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Continuously improve processes to increase team velocity and project success rates.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by identifying workflow gaps and implementing improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in business operations, management consulting, or project management (startup or high-growth tech environment preferred).
- Strong organizational and project management skills; proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (written and verbal).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into insights and decisions.
- Comfort with technology, productivity, and collaboration tools (e.g., Linear, G-Suite, Slack).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong ambition, work ethic, and results-oriented mindset: no 9–5 mentality.
- Ability to work from our Rome office at The Social Hub.
