Typewise is a Swiss deep tech company, on a mission to make daily lives easier by  decoding human thoughts. We build privacy-focused AI text prediction  technology that boosts productivity by 2-3X. Our first product, a next-generation  smartphone keyboard app, has grown to 1.7+ million installs, and we’re now  expanding our patented technology into enterprise applications for both desktop  and mobile.

Our latest product is a Chrome extension that empowers individuals and  enterprises to compose emails and documents faster and in higher quality across all web application. To get the product to market and add cloud  functionality we’re looking for additional JS developers.

The job 

We’re looking for a Backend Developer (full-time, remote work) who helps building our next game changing product called Typewise AI Writing  Solution. It’s a Chrome extension for AI text predictions written in JavaScript and  makes use of TensorflowJS and our own Neural Network. This technology will  also be implemented in an SDK to make it available to 3rd party software  providers (CRM, Customer Service, etc.). An enterprise platform will enable  companies to share their dictionary and predictions with employees.

Your main focus will be on building a REST API and supporting backend that  allows system admins to derive insights about user behavior within our solution, change their settings as well as configuring the whole product.

You would be expected to actively contribute to the system architecture  planning, choosing the tech stack and setting up environment.

Your profile 

– Degree/Masters/PhD in Computer Science or a comparable education 

– Deep understanding of and experience with Node.js backend  development

– Ability to create and maintain REST APIs to integrate with 3rd parties,  GraphQL is a plus

– Experience with relevant databases such as SQL, Redis, MongoDB, etc. 

– Knowledge of TypeScript programming language, WebAssembly is a plus 

– Passion for algorithms and finding optimal solutions

– Interested in writing clean, performant code and architecture that can be  built on in the long run

– Believes in unit tests

– Knowledge of Git version control system and CI/CD

– Passionate (future) daily user of Typewise and excited to drive the product  forward

– Team player, curious personality, and a (good) sense of humor
