AQA Engineer

Overview

Infrascale, Inc. is expanding its presence in the market and is looking for top-tier quality assurance talent to help bring new products to that market! The Quality Automation Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day automated testing of our Cloud Backup Solutions. This means being an active member of a Scrum team to deliver the highest-quality value we can to our customers. Automated defect resolution is one of our most important activities in the engineering organization — not only to deliver quality products to our customers but to help us go faster! The ideal candidate brings the best blend of technical know-how and execution.

What you will bring to the table:

* Ability to communicate technically/socially in English — both written and verbal

* Education requirement: Computer Science, open to all education level

* Years of work experience:

  • QA Automation Engineer: 3+ years of Automated Testing Experience
  • Previous employment must include participation in full software development life cycle (SDLC), operations and IT infrastructure development
  • Preference for experience in consumer-facing product

* Technical/functional skills:

  • Proven ability to clearly identify facilitate problem resolution

* Knowledge of automated testing techniques and procedures

* Experience in automated testing of desktop and web applications

* Experience in issue management system usage

* Experience in test case creation + the automation of test cases

* Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, client-server interaction, web standards)

* Experience with the application (UI/API/Unit) automation tools, performance testing tools

* Strong knowledge of Selenium with C#, NUnit

* Experience with VCS (Mercurial/Git)

* Experience with Databases such as: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.

* Scripting skills in: Python, Bash Shell, PowerShell or similar

* Experience with TeamCity and/or Jenkins CI/CD

Aptitude or competency skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and self-learning in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of humor and intellectual curiosity

Responsibilities:

* Requirement Analysis:

Ability to understand and synthesize written requirements, general system requirements, and product goals

* Testing Strategy and Execution:

Participate in, provide feedback to, and help to author testing strategies and plans for our products, including estimation, planning, and hands-on execution

* Test Creation and Maintenance:

Using test case management software, ability to author tests and maintain them for the lifespan of the functional unit/component of the software

Maintenance of the defect management process/tools/cases

Ability to develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans/cases

* Automation testing:

Authoring automation test cases

Designing, developing, executing and maintaining automation scripts; using test systems/harnesses

Execute testing of backend services (functional- and performance-based testing)

Ability to create new automation test projects from scratch

Day-to-day use of the bug-tracking system (Jira); Documenting expected and actual test results

Assessing risk of unexpected results; Communicating urgency/value of the testing, relative to results

* Team:

Operating as a member of a Scrum/Agile team with attendance to daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies

Adding to the collective group efforts

Bringing a unique perspective, character, and winning attitude to the Kyiv team

Overview

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the automated testing with knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, automation, and processes (e.g., selenium, postman, saucelabs)
• 3+ years’ experience in agile environment
• Upper intermediate English
• Knowledgeable in using Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, MS suite and MS Teams
• Experience in implementing QA function across the full project lifecycle
• Strong written and communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks in a fast-changing environment

Main Responsibilities:

• Create, execute, and maintain functional test cases, test scripts, test results, and track defects
• Write and maintain functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
• Develop QA workflow and test plans for the project
• Create, manage and track UAT process and documentation.
• Work closely with technical and business analysts’ teams to report and coordinate defects.
• Work with the development team to coordinate test process and defects.
Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
• Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
• Investigate customer complaints and product defects.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
